BALI, ULTIMOPARADISO.COM – India has emerged as one of the most promising markets for Bali’s tourism industry, consistently ranking among the top three sources of international visitors to the Island of the Gods, just behind Australia.
Recognizing this growing potential, Southeast Asia’s largest Indian restaurant chain, Ganesha ek Sanskriti, has officially opened its newest outlets at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport. Not just one, but two locations have been launched—one at the drop-off area and another in the arrival hall of the airport.
Ganesha ek Sanskriti is renowned for serving authentic North and South Indian cuisine, blending traditional flavors with the warm hospitality of Indian culture. Among its signature dishes are biryani rice and rich butter chicken, both popular favorites among Indian food lovers.
This new branch marks a strategic step in the brand’s mission to bring the Indian culinary experience closer to travelers in Indonesia, especially in Bali. The restaurant is designed not only to cater to Indian tourists, but also to domestic and international visitors seeking a taste of authentic Indian cuisine.
“This initiative is our way of welcoming Indian and international travelers as they arrive in or depart from Bali,” said Shilpa Dave, Founder and President Director of Ganesha ek Sanskriti, during the launch event held at Ngurah Rai Airport on Wednesday (July 9).
Shilpa, who is also a certified nutritionist, emphasized that the restaurant offers both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, with a special focus on vegetarian options. “All our dishes are prepared by specialist chefs from India using traditional recipes, delivering a true taste of India that lingers on the palate and in memory,” she added.
Having operated for over 22 years, Ganesha ek Sanskriti now boasts 22 locations across Indonesia. Looking ahead, the brand plans to expand further—not only within Bali, but also into more cities throughout the archipelago.
The restaurant’s arrival was warmly welcomed by the airport authority. Ahmad Syaugi Shahab, General Manager of I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, expressed optimism about the addition. “We believe the presence of Ganesha ek Sanskriti will enhance the airport’s culinary offerings and enrich the experience for all visitors,” he said.***
