Jimbawana Area Wins Greenship Neighborhood Platinum & Net-Zero Healthy Building for Bedawang Nala Hall from GBCI

Greenship Neighborhood Platinum

BALI – The Jimbawana area is part of the mixed used development area of ​​PT Jimbaran Hijau, which won Greenship Neighborhood certification with a Platinum rating, first in Bali and with the highest score of 78 in Indonesia from the Green Building Council Indonesia (GBCI).

The certificate was handed over symbolically, by Iwan Prijanto (Chairman of GBCI) to the CEO of PT. Jimbaran Hijau Dr. Putu Agung Prianta, B.Eng (Hons), MA, at the Asia Pacific Network – World Green Building Council Annual Meeting, which was held on November 23, 2022, at the Jimbaran Hub, and was attended by delegates from 17 countries.

To be able to achieve this certification, the Jimbawana Area has gone through a series of assessments and requirements based on several aspects such as Land Ecological Enhancement, Movement & Connectivity, Water Management & Conservation, Solid Waste & Material, Community Wellbeing Strategy, Building & Energy and Innovation & Future Development.

According to Putu Agung Prianta, in planning and development, the Jimbawana area always strives to present property products in every business unit, which can make a positive contribution to the environment in a sustainable manner. This effort was carried out by forming a green team consisting of Dr. Ir. DK Halim, Ph.D (GP) as Chairman of the Jimbaran Hijau Foundation with members consisting of: Ar. Ni Wayan Meidayanti, ST, MT (GP), Ar. Putu Agus Sukayasa, ST. (GP), Ir. Gede Agus Mahaputera, ST (GP), Ar. Kuntaparmana, ST, MT (GP) and Made Sumartha, ST.
These efforts are carried out through various green facilities such as Urban Farming, Grand forest areas that have a role as carbon sinks, Green lanes for sports and pedestrian crossings and thematic parks with rainwater collection points, both naturally and using water absorption systems (water catchment).

Net Zero Healthy Building

Simultaneously with the Greenship Neighborhood Certification ceremony, PT Jimbaran Hijau also received the Net-Zero Healthy Building award for Bedawang Nala Hall. The basic principle of implementing net zero buildings is to optimize building design in such a way that it can reduce the need for energy consumption per year as low as possible so that energy supply can rely entirely on renewable energy systems.
Bedawang Nala will be the first building in Bali to be awarded the Net Zero Healthy Building, because it has a passive design that utilizes cross-ventilation, ventilation and natural ventilation. The award was given directly by Mr. Cary Chan, Head of Asia Pacific Regional Network, Green Building Council.

Apart from that, Jimbaran Hijau introduced another one. In the Asia Pacific Network – World Green Building Council Annual Meeting event, PT Jimbaran Hijau also introduced the Natadesa Resort Residence, which is one of the plans and developments in the Jimbawana area that prioritizes sustainable development.
