IHGMA Held TOURISM LEADERS SUMMIT 2022, IDEAS A NEW FACE OF BALI TOURISM

DENPASAR – Bali is a meeting place for tourism leaders in the 2022 International Tourism Leaders Summit (ITLS) initiated by the Indonesian Hotel General Manager Association (IHGMA) DPD Bali on 26 – 27 September 2022 at the Art Center, Denpasar, Bali.

The theme raised is “Rethinking, Redefining and Reshaping of Tourism, from Stability to Sustainability”. The Governor of Bali, Wayan Koster was present as the main speaker.

In addition to the Governor of Koster, this event will also present 24 speakers who are a combination of international, national and local Balinese speakers who will carry out the concept, definition and implementation of sustainable tourism in a new paradigm, said Komang Artana, S.pd as Chairman of the ITLS 2022 Committee.

While the Chairperson of IHGMA Bali, Dr. Yoga Iswara, BBA., BBM., MM., CHA added that the Tourism Experience during the Covid-19 Pandemic is a very valuable lesson for tourism actors, especially in Bali. Tourism leaders have made the Covid-19 Pandemic a momentum for contemplation as well as self-introspection to map concepts, techniques and future implementations that are wiser, grounded and have wider benefits without sacrificing the interests of future generations in meeting their future needs. Sustainability is the key to our well and securely connected with the future.

The purpose of holding the International Tourism Leaders Summit 2022, according to IHGMA DPD Bali Public Relations Officer, Milka Sitorus is the first to remap the concept, definition, and implementation of Tourism in a New Paradigm. Second, realizing a commitment to present the face of sustainable tourism by harmonizing aspects of profit, people and planet. And third, to socialize the face of New Era Tourism which is wiser, grounded, and has wider benefits but still does not ignore the interests of future generations in meeting their future needs.
The enthusiasm and enthusiasm of tourism leaders in welcoming the 2022 Leaders Summit is very high, it can be seen that the number of registered participants both offline and online has reached more than 1000 pax. This event was held on a hybrid basis to provide broad opportunities for the audience and panelists to discuss following each other, as well as to meaningfully celebrate the 2022 world tourism day which falls on 27 September 2022.***
